Assessment Tasks

Confirm feasibility of repair work to achieve quality outcome 
Source materials, equipment, components and specialist expertise required to complete work 
Select and use tools, equipment, materials and consumables appropriate to job requirements in accordance with manufacturer specifications and SOPs 
Apply repair and restoration techniques to jewellery item in accordance with the style of the item 
Identify and address unforeseen consequences of work on the item 
Perform work in a manner that minimises waste and complies with environmental requirements 
Ensure work meets client requirements and quality standards and re-work or repair any non-compliance 
Determine safe cleaning techniques for antique item to ensure features are protected from damage 
Clean item and prepare for presentation to client 
Complete documentation on work undertaken in accordance with workplace procedures 
Clean and restore work area in accordance with SOPs
